Supermarket Price Wars: Safeway Slashes Prices by up to 44%

The grocery store chain is cutting everyday prices on thousands of items by 10% to 44%.

Safeway’s move is likely to stir up a price war with rivals City Market, King Soopers, and Wal-Mart, per the Denver Post. It always seems to come back to Wal-Mart, now doesn’t it?
