As Gas Prices Go, So Go Prices for Used Cars

What do prices at the pump have to do with prices at the used car lot? They actually tend to mimic each other. Higher gas prices tend to cause drivers to want to spend less out of pocket on their automobiles. That means rising demand, as well as rising prices, for used cars—fuel-efficient used cars especially. Used car prices spiked last summer as gas prices soared, and then spiked again earlier this year as the national average neared $4 a gallon. I’ll put my vote in for our very own United States of America Government. While it’s not exactly in the catagory of “companies”… it is surely the largest “publicly” held enterprise in the world. It’s also the most mismanaged, self-serving and wasteful enterprise on the planet. It NEVER listens to its stockholders. It tries to bribe off every potential customer with dangled goodies that ALWAYS have hidden strings attached. It NEVER keeps its contract, nor its word. And… wait for it… it slaps us on the back and tells us that it is acting for our own good… for our own welfare… for our own protection… AND for the best interest of we, the stockholders. Kinda ironic, ain’t it? (Perhaps I should say “moronic”). So, let’s give it up (literally) for our very own USA.GOV.GOV.GOV.AD.NAUSEUM.
