Shout Out: ‘Personal Finance Comics’

In this series, the superheroes are personal finance bloggers who battle the evil forces of lottery tickets and credit card debt, and who sometimes, in Inspector Gadget-like fashion, unleash extendo-scissors from their arms to chop up credit cards before they can do more harm.

Amusingly concocted by the folks at CreditCardFinder.com, with scenes like this:

This is fantastic! It certainly livens up what can sometimes be a ‘boring’ topic to write about. But it more than revitalises the topic, it actually makes you want to follow the series! Make sure you check all the parts of all the comics for a good laugh.

The ‘Bear Grylls’ comic (Man vs Debt) made me laugh as I am a huge fan of his show!

What a way to impart good financial hints and tips!

    Are there more to come?

Wow! Brad, thank you so much for featuring our Personal Finance comics.

They’ve been a helluva lot of fun for us – now up to our 5th comic.

Who knows in the Personal Finance Comic future, you could be featured?! We’ll see what we can come up with!

Keep up the great work with your blog Brad

    Cheers!

This is awesome. It’s good to see a totally different setting to many “traditional” comics.

You should read the comic…and check out Money Funk (she makes a damn hot looking comic character). ;-)

I was extremely happy to take part in it. Thank you Brad for awesome comic mention.

And who would of thought comics and personal finance could go together. But Credit Card Finder did an awesome job (thank you, Francis).

love the comic, brings a bit of light into something that would otherwise being a pretty boring piece of work, that and it puts a new spin on trying to fight debt!

Wow.. I looked in to this. This comic actually features various personal finance bloggers as characters in the comic – ie. a comic based on real people and real life events!

    I’m impressed!

These are awesome comics. They really portray what you are thinking about when you are trying to solve a personal finance problem.

Love these comics. I believe more bloggers and webmasters should use comics to lighten their messages. It’s a great way to engage the younger generation in view of the popularity of Manga.

    Awesome! This is so “cool”!

That’d be sweet. I want some cool powers though — like the ability to see through advertisements and make them totally honest and upfront, or maybe just the ability to turn marketing and ad messages off entirely. That’d be especially useful when my kids are watching TV.

Thanks so much for featuring the comics on this site. That is so awesome. I am really glad that everyone likes them so much. Personally I think finance can get kind of dry and repetitive, so I think shaking things up a bit by adding an entertaining element was a great idea. Francis and Fred are awesome for starting this up and I was honored to have the opportunity to be a part of it this time.

Thanks again for sharing this with your readers. :)
