How to Raise a Billionaire

The parents of the Virgin Group’s Sir Richard Branson think it’s a good idea to abandon your son around age 5 on some random hillside and have the boy figure out how to get home on his own. “I didn’t want him to be a namby-pamby little boy like all the other little boys,” explains Branson’s mum, Eve.

Branson’s parents are interviewed in a WSJ piece, where they also reveal that the tycoon received plenty of support as a child. His father, Ted Branson, a barrister, gave this bit of advice for raising boys:

“You need to show them love, so when they go off in the morning they can stick their chest out and say, ‘I’m a man.’”

    To prevent drunk driving, AAA clubs around the country are offering free rides to folks who’ve celebrated too much to safely get behind the wheel over Memorial Day weekend.
