Group-buying specialist BuyWithMe has a new national promotion, in which $24 buys four Silver Experience tickets—good for a regular movie showing, with 3-D, IMAX, and other premium services costing extra—at AMC Theatres around the country. Tickets must be purchased by May 31, there’s a limit of one four-pack per customer, and vouchers for the tickets will be mailed out within 21 days of purchase. One noteworthy catch: The tickets are only valid for admission at least two weeks after a film’s original release date.

But one Los Angeles charter school upped the ante on the usual social anxieties of its annual dance when it installed a “V.I.P. lounge” — with a separate cover charge.
